My husband and I love taking photos and have quite the collection in storage, on our computers, and on Facebook.
With the exception of one neat photo we took of ourselves completely coated in mud after an outing gone array in Jamaica we hadn't really taken the time to display the others nicely.
I got tired of looking at the mismatched collection of pieces left over from college that are currently displayed in our living room and went ahead and ordered a bunch of our photos fromKodakGallery last night. Some will come in HUGE poster sizes and others will come in normal 8x10s...I'm excited for them to hurry up and get here.
Once they arrive and are properly displayed in our living room I'll post a pic of the finished product.
For now, take a look at some of the pics that we ordered.

I love to look at art, and hope to one day have a few awesome pieces to call my own.
The other day I was looking at fellow blogger Bayou Contessa's archives when I came across a post about New Orleans artist Sarah Ashley Longshore.
Her paintings are so whimsical and fun to look at and apparently she is currently working on a project designing furniture and bowls for Anthropology.
I'm really excited to see what she creates for them and can't wait to see more of her work in the near future.

To my husbands general horror and dismay, when asked if I could have any car what would I pick, I respond with, "a smart car".
I understand that I'm supposed to respond to questions like these with the coolest, fastest, whateverest out there, but these little cars are so cute that they really are what I would pick.
Owning one would mean I'd have more space in the garage, parking in a crowded lot would be a breeze, I'd save on gas, and one more plus... no back seats:
Three years back, I made a comment that when I was born I looked like a "baby Winston Churchill".
I got an e-mail from mi madre today saying that she had read my old post and that I was a much more beautiful baby than that.
Sorry mom, I'm pretty sure I win this one...

I'm passing some time this summer watching two bulldogs, a bird, and a fish for some friends while they are on a two week trip to Alaska.
Since our friends left for The Land of The Midnight Sun I've been enjoying some droopy slobber-faced entertainment.
I thought I'd post some pics of the whole pack, bird and fish included. =)

It's been forever since I made a post to this blog.
I suppose part of that is because I don't I have a real following so I figured a temporary laps in posts (three years to be exact) would be ok.
It's amazing how much can change in three years... I've married the love of my life, moved from the city to a house in the burbs, became a herbivore, and of course taken a few really amazing trips.
I will always love to travel, and originally I intended to only post about trips I've taken, but in the three years that I've been away from this blog I realized you don't always have to take a trip to have an adventure.
Not too long ago I head a quote by Marcel Proust that said , "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
Living by this saying you can make everyday an adventure. That's what I intend to do... and I'll share what I find along the way. :-)
