Soggy Fruit Bread Mixture

Contrary to popular belief, there were no modern day pies filled with delicious pumpkins, pecans, or fruits (It’s true, the Pilgrims were noshing on meat pies at the first Thanksgiving instead.)

Although the fruit filled goodness that is our modern day pie was missing from the first Thanksgiving, I’d like to think that a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away a slice of pie or two may have been enjoyed. J

DH is not a fan of pies…something about the soggy fruit bread mixture being something he detests.

In an attempt to win him over I tried baking some Star Wars geekery.

I thought the pies were pretty awesome, but DH is still not a fan.

That’s ok though…he’s still the obi-wan for me (lolz… see what I did there).

Zorbing Birthday Bash

To celebrate the birthday of my  BHFL (best husband fo life), I packed our weekend full of fine dining, fire hoping, and a surprise birthday party complete with zorb balls and diet coke explosions.

Not a bad way to kick off the start of another 365 day journey around the sun. :-)

(^Best "nerd" gift ever!)

Thanks to everyone who came out to make the weekend so special and to Roxana for documenting the zorbing with her stellar photography skills!

This pretty much made my day!

I'm covered in awkward tan lines from a 27mile bike ride I took over the weekend, and this morning I got two bee stings on my knee that really hurt, but nothing can wreck my happy mood today because my amazing hubby took the time to recover all of the lost photos from my trip to Europe!

Well, most of them at least…

We are still missing a bunch of photos from my last couple of days in Rome, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll be able to find them soon.

Crete, Greece

Rome, Italy... again! :-)

Do a little photo dance for me and wish me luck in finding the rest of the photos.
If enough good vibes come my way, maybe we’ll find them faster, lol.

(In case you’re wondering, a photo dance is similar to a rain dance. The main difference being that you have to “shake it like a Polaroid picture” for a photo dance)
